Herbert, who was born in the late 1870s and died in 1960, was a writer and big game hunter. She was a member of the Society of Women Journalists, serving as its vice-chair and later vice-president, and was editor of the Writers' and Artists' Yearbook from 1922-29. This book, first published in 1908, gives an account of a hunting trip to Somaliland she undertook with her cousin Cecily in 1906. Illustrated with photographs throughout.
