Book Description
Learning to live abundantly is the ability to see, feel, believe, and expect abundance and prosperity in all areas of life-financially, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Unfortunately what often holds us back from achieving abundance is what we believe deep inside about ourselves, our potentials, and our limitations. In her hands-on, step-by-step teaching manual, seasoned psychotherapist Roni Bissett shares practical tips and accompanying exercises that invite others to define their own meaning of abundance and create the lives they have always wanted to live. Bissett, a marriage and family counselor who has conducted numerous workshops on the art of living life abundantly, believes that if we lack abundance and prosperity in our lives, it is not because there is an absence of these things; instead, it is because we believe there is. While reinforcing the phrase "what we believe we create," Bissett explains how you can realize a happier existence through a series of steps that encourage you to look inward and - change thought patterns from negative into positive; - use the tools of the conscious mind to achieve goals; - identify prosperity barriers and attitudes about money; and - alter thinking through visualization and meditation. Abundance Is Your Birthright is an innovative guidebook that shares valuable advice for anyone ready to bring his or her unique definition of abundance into reality and ultimately achieve true happiness.

'Your words moved me-inspired me-gave me hope. I am certainly at a crossroads, and meeting you, reading your book-it was like you handed me a map." Leah Johnson, San Francisco, CA 'I have read it 5 times and always, finding something applicable to help me through that day, week. Unknown to them, it has helped my family as I am not such an insecure nervous wreck. You have zeroed in on paper what I could never express in my heart." Barbara Carter, Scarsdale, NY 'Primarily dealing with the 'self, ' this book is an essential guide for the allowance of the true self in our lives. I am pleased to write that your writing style is with wit and candor and an allowance for the reader to journey with freedom through the pages. You give room to pause and reflect-a necessity." Jean Posner, M.D., neuropsychiatry, Baltimore, MD '.it reminded me of Seat of the Soul, but with more humor, intimacy and therefore more accessibility." Left Universalism, Africacentric Essays

Left Universalism, Africacentric Essays PDF Author: Ato Sekyi-Otu
Publisher: Routledge
ISBN: 042987801X
Category : Political Science
Languages : en
Pages : 372

Book Description
Left Universalism, Africacentric Essays presents a defense of universalism as the foundation of moral and political arguments and commitments. Consisting of five intertwined essays, the book claims that centering such arguments and commitments on a particular place, in this instance the African world, is entirely compatible with that foundational universalism. Ato Sekyi-Otu thus proposes a less conventional mode of Africacentrism, one that rejects the usual hostility to universalism as an imperialist Eurocentric hoax. Sekyi-Otu argues that universalism is an inescapable presupposition of ethical judgment in general and critique in particular, and that it is especially indispensable for radical criticism of conditions of existence in postcolonial society and for vindicating visions of social regeneration. The constituent chapters of the book are exhibits of that argument and question some fashionable conceptual oppositions and value apartheids. This book will be of great interest to students and scholars in the fields of social and political philosophy, contemporary political theory, postcolonial studies, African philosophy and social thought.
