Book Description
Excerpt from Todd's Strawberry Plant Catalog, 1925 Ercanbrack. - A chance seedling found in an old bed of plants in New York. While it does not make many plants here they are of enormous size, probably the largest of any variety I have. As fruited here last season it was immensely productive and the fruit of the very largest size, dark glossy red in color and of the finest flavor. It would be an ideal variety for hill culture. My supply of these plants is limited and I am sorry I do not have more for my customers. Glen mary. - Does not succeed in all sections, principally in the south but in the middle and northern states where it is at its best it is named by many commercial growers as one of the best ever introduced. The plants are of the largest size, with tall, coarse, dark-green foliage and deep-rooted. The fruit is very large, dark-red, firm and of fair quality. I have a larger supply of these plants than usual but as there is always a heavy demand it is advisable to place your order early.
