This Has All Been Wonderful

This Has All Been Wonderful PDF Author: David Steinberg
Publisher: CreateSpace
ISBN: 9781497565913
Category : Music
Languages : en
Pages : 146

Book Description
1994 was part of an era before cell phones and ubiquitous Internet. Trying to escape the oppressive New Mexico heat, David “ZZYZX” Steinberg spent that summer driving around the country seeing a band. Phish was at a turning point in their career, still playing clubs and small theatres, but about to break into mainstream popularity. From Las Cruces to Vancouver, Canada, back to New Mexico and across the nation to Trenton, New Jersey, David saw twenty-six Phish concerts that summer. Bringing the wry sense of humor and random digressions that have made his daily “Phish Stats” Facebook updates a favorite of veteran fans and newbies alike, this book details the journey he took in the summer of '94. Between pointing out the best rest stop locations and explaining how to accidentally infuriate the band that he loves, ZZYZX brings the richness of tour to life. If you've ever wondered why someone would pack up their car with nothing but a tour calendar and a few cases of soda to sell, come along for the ride. There's always room for one more.

It Should Have Been a Wonderful Life

It Should Have Been a Wonderful Life PDF Author: Stevan A. (Coach) Brockman
Publisher: AuthorHouse
ISBN: 1728359023
Category : Biography & Autobiography
Languages : en
Pages : 262

Book Description
Normally in the literary world, when you write and publish your original autobiography, “I Was Compost When Compost Wasn’t Cool,” now some ten years ago, you put a substantial period on what I and many readers thought was a very interesting and successful life. What else could there be, what else could transpire in just ten short years that would be worthy to share? Fortunately for my very valuable readers, my wife and I have gone through another life time of experiences packed into those very hectic ten years which I hope you will find interesting, but also emotional, irredeemable, despicable, and downright felonious in many aspects. It still involves my first loves of farming, composting, machinery and all the life-long learning connected to that. I mean for me, what else is there in life. It still reverts back to my parental upbringing and all of my previous mentioned mentors that was my privilege and pleasure to work with in my life up to this point. Many aspects and stories about those folks will be highlighted that were missed in my first book. It also has a lot to do with my wife Debbie and our life together. It’s absolutely amazing how much a person can endure and the pain and heartbreak both physically and mentally will be described the best I know how. This book will also describe again, to the best of my ability the unimaginable amount of greed, ruthlessness, trickery, conniving, fraud, extravagant spending and incredible amount of elder abuse on the part of certain family members on their own parents and siblings. It is just amazing what money, greed and power can do to a family and that will be detailed finally in this book. Yes, only ten years since the original auto-biography was written, but what a ride. Hard for me or anyone else to believe, but my wife and I lived through all of it for a very unexpected and tragic ending. I am the first one to realize that no one is guaranteed anything in life, regardless, it should have been a wonderful life, we tried to do everything I thought to make it so, but unfortunately it turned out to be anything but wonderful for us.

Mike Shayne's 50th Case PDF Author: Brett Halliday
Publisher: Open Road Media
ISBN: 1504016033
Category : Fiction
Languages : en
Pages : 133

Book Description
Mike Shayne tackles a baffling case of adultery and murder in the suburbs of Miami It’s the 4th and final day of the convention, and Marvin Blake is ready to go home. Dreading the evening’s festivities, he checks out of his hotel early and heads back to Sunray Beach, longing to see his wife, Ellie, and daughter, Sissy. When he reaches home late that night, his bedroom light is on—and his best friend’s car is parked in the driveway. His wife has been unfaithful, and Blake knows what he must do. He checks into a motel, pulls out the stationery, and prepares to take his life. The next morning, Ellie is found in her bedroom, stark naked and strangled to death. Miami reporter Tim Rourke picks up the story and brings in the only man who can untangle this web of lies: Mike Shayne. A seasoned professional, Shayne may think he’s seen it all, but he’ll soon find that, in suburbia, murder is never what it seems. Mike Shayne’s 50th Case is the 49th book in the Mike Shayne Mysteries, but you may enjoy reading the series in any order.
