No reasonable expense has been spared to provide for the moral and intellectual training of the children and youth of the city. Not a single request has been made for the support and improvement of schools, that has not been cheerfully and promptly granted. The High School building has been completed, and the school itself organized and welcomed to the hearts of our citizens. Two large and commodious Grammar and Primary School buildings have also been erected; and no investment has been made more freely, because it is well understood that none could be more profitable or more secure.
