The Word of My Testimony
Author: Lance Watson
Publisher: AuthorHouse
ISBN: 1504977335
Category : Poetry
Languages : en
Pages : 190
Book Description
The Word of My Testimony is a book of poetry chronicling my life from a fledgling Christian to a seasoned soul winner. It is about the challenges of Christianity; the struggle between flesh and spirit. Christianity is an impossible way of life. It can only be done successfully when one is totally focused on Jesus and walks in the power of the Holy Spirit. Ive known the highs of victories and the lows of defeat. I have known awesome experiences with God. I love adventure and a degree of danger. God got loads of that for the one so inclined. Once one serves God, one becomes addicted to serving God. There is nothing like it. Id be willing to pay God just to allow me to serve Him. But such is not necessary. I have seen God go after people who the world had totally given up on. There is nothing that is even remotely close to the satisfaction, excitement, intimacy, and sense of accomplishment one experiences when one partners with God. If people, including Christians, really know God,they will see that He will absolutely blow you away with His wonders to behold. God is no old man with a long beard napping on His royal rocking chair. And thats the goal of this book. To inspire, instruct, and encourage Christians to seek greater intimacy with God. For sure, one can be saved without experiencing intimacy with God. But thats like having a trillion dollars but only spending one dollar. It is also my goal to inspire the unsaved to discover Jesus, the One who loves them more than anything that He created. The book is really about Jesus' Lordship and guiding Hand in my life. Hes in every word, every rhyme, every praise, and every heartache. Its' about when He chastens His disobedient child. What makes Christianity supernaturally exciting is Jesus. Its a waste of time to be a Christian and not be intimate with Jesus. its' similar to being married and not experiencing intimacy and excitement with your spouse. It is a tragedy to be a Christian and not serve Jesus in some capacity. Its' like having a trillion dollars and spending just one.

Understanding End Times Prophecy
Author: Paul Benware
Publisher: Moody Publishers
ISBN: 1575674831
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 282
Book Description
Many Christians think of end times prophecy as a gigantic, intimidating puzzle -- difficult to piece together and impossible to figure out. But every puzzle can be solved if you approach it the right way. Paul Benware compares prophecy to a picture puzzle. Putting the edge pieces together first builds the 'framework' that makes it easier to fit the other pieces in their place. According to Benware, the framework for eschatology is the biblical covenants. He begins his comprehensive survey by explaining the major covenants. Then he discusses several different interpretations of end times prophecy. Benware digs into the details of the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the judgements and resurrections, and the millennial kingdom. But he also adds a unique, personal element to the study, answering questions as: -Why study bible prophecy? -What difference does it make if I'm premillenial or amillenial? If what the Bible says about the future puzzles you, Understanding End Times Prophecy will help you put together the pieces and see the big picture.

Claim Your Crown
Author: Tarah-Lynn Saint-Elien
Publisher: Revell
ISBN: 1493421271
Category : Young Adult Nonfiction
Languages : en
Pages : 200
Book Description
Young women are deeply dissatisfied with society's standards (and double standards). They want more for themselves--but sometimes they don't quite know what that more should be. That's where Miss Black New Jersey 2018 and Teen Vogue "It Girl" turned fashion writer Tarah-Lynn Saint-Elien comes in. Through her insightful comments on media, pop culture, and pervading cultural myths about beauty, fashion, and womanhood, Tarah-Lynn dismantles the messages that feed into the insecurities, fears, doubts, and guilt that young women experience today. She introduces them to an understanding of God as a loving Father and the King of all kings, who bestows upon his daughters a crown of love, worth, and power. And she shows them how to not only claim the promises of God but also walk purposefully in them as independent women (no prince necessary!) who respond to adversity with righteousness and authority.

View of the Hebrews
Author: Ethan Smith
Publisher: Left of Brain Onboarding Pty Limited
ISBN: 9781396322228
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 130
Book Description
In the nineteenth century, it was a common belief that Native Americans were the descendants of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel. Ethan Smith wrote on this topic, and in so doing, challenged the dismissal of the Indigenous Americans by European settlers. Smith used biblical scripture, similarities in the Hebrew and Native American languages and their name for God, and other points of evidence to prove the connection between Israel and the First Nations. From there he showed how the reunited Hebrew tribes would be restored to Zion before the end of the world. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of Smith's book is that it is said to have influenced the Book of Mormon, which was published about seven years after later. As a child, Smith moved away from religion after his parents died but found his way back before he turned 20 and worked in the ministry until his death. Smith wrote several books while serving in the ministry in which he explored prophecies and baptism, among other subjects. But this book remains one of the most controversial of all his publications.

A Testimony of Jesus Christ - Volume 2
Author: Anthony Charles Garland
Publisher: SpiritAndTruth.org
ISBN: 0978886429
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 594
Book Description
A Commentary on the Book of Revelation - Volume 2 The author presents a detailed study of the Book of Revelation emphasizing prophetic themes from the rest of the Bible which find their fulfillment in Revelation. To understand this controversial book, the author explores the many connections between the visions seen by the Apostle John and previous prophetic revelation given to Old Testament prophets such as Daniel, Ezekiel, and others. It is the author's conviction that an understanding of related passages elsewhere in the Bible is the most important key to unlocking the bewildering variety of interpretations which often accompany the study of the last book of the Bible. The commentary can be used in conjunction with a free companion internet course providing an additional 70 hours of audio instruction linked to almost 1,000 slides.
