Further research has found a baptisimal record for Simon Walter, son of Wilhelm Walter, born in 1770 and baptized at Cocalio Moden Krick, Weisseichen Land and Seltenreich, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. This may be the Simon Walter who migrated to across the mountains to the area now in West Virginia, ca. 1800. He died in 1846 at the age of 75. This work makes some corrections and adds to descendant lines found in the work by Ethel and John Hupp.

Michael Walter came to America with a his sister and brothers from Germany, and settled in Pennsylvania in 1733. Jan Thomasse Van Dyke was born in Holland and brought his family to America in 1652. Two of their descendants, L.C. Walter and Nellie Van Dyke, were married in Nebraska in 1898. Their descendants and ancestry are the subject of this history. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, California and elsewhere. Family history and genealogical information about the descendants of Johann Peter Klinger (born 18 June 1830 in Germany and Ann Margaretha Schaefer who was born 20 December 1835 in Germany. Johann and Ann married 18 April 1858 and were the parents of two known children. Johann died 11 August 1866 and Ann married Johannes Hausel. Johannes died 31 August 1873 and Ann immigrated to America with her children 3 June 1883. They settled in Wayne Co., Iowa. Descendants lived in Iowa, South Dakota, California and elsewhere.
