This work is a complete grammar of an Old Spanish text of the 13th century. It includes a critical edition of an important part of a medieval chronicle on which the study is based. The grammar consists of three parts: (1) phonology, reconstructed from graphemic references, (2) description and classification of morphosyntactic structures, and (3) analysis of stylistic devices. In addition, it contains a chronological identification of the language and its interrelation with languages of the Mediterranean area and other Hispano-Romance dialects.
