Samuel Lee was born 27 February 1778 in New York. He married Anna Brown in about 1802. Sometime later, they moved to Upper Canada (now Ontario). Samuel and Anna had seven children born in Canada, namely: Abner, Arvin, Eliza (Nancy), Alfred, Stephen, Vincent, and Palmer. In May 1837, the entire family moved to Crawford County, Ohio. Line of descent follows the oldest son, Abner, who married Hannah Hicks. Abner and Hannah had four sons: Richard C., Asa B., John, and Edmund. Includes 18veral Ohio descendants of Richard C., who married Sarah Jane Eastman. Includes six generations of mostly Ohio descendants of Asa B., who married Leah Holman 2 December 1852 in Crawford County, Ohio.
