A fascinating history of women's belief, faith and spirituality, as told through the art and writing of 33 women of wisdom. This is an exploration of feminine spirituality from the beginning of time to the present day. Paula Marvelly has selected powerful and evocative words of wisdom from women of widely differing ages and faiths, including but not limited to Jewish, Christian, Sufi, Hindu, Buddhist or Taoist. The Sacred Feminine

The Sacred Feminine PDF Author: T. Hegland
Publisher: Createspace Independent Publishing Platform
ISBN: 9781981652648
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 440

Book Description
The Sacred Feminine cuts across several areas and knits them together: Alchemy, Gnosticism, Jesus and Mary Magdalene, John the Baptist, the Templars and their treasure. This book is NOT a repeat of The DaVinci Code --it goes beyond it with facts and connects the dots. While it profiles many major world goddesses, it goes into depth with Mary Magdalene -- not a penitent prostitute and the Church finally agreed in 1969. She was an Apostle to the apostles, from a rich Egyptian family, and she had been a Temple Priestess, hierodulai practicing hieros gamos... she anointed Jesus and knew much of what he knew, including possessing some of his anointing: She stood before Caesar Tiberius and to make a point with him, she turned a white egg to red. Her Gospel of Mary is examined (Ch. 11) and her teaching. The last 2 chapters examine how we can connect with the Divine Feminine/Masculine and achieve a higher awareness. The book could have been called Spiritual Alchemy. The Templars did find treasure and genealogies under the Temple Mount (and the head/skull of John the Baptist) and took it back to France, and some treasure went to Rosslyn, and some went to the New World -- Quebec as a matter of fact... forget Oak Island (TV show), the Templars stashed it elsewhere. They were trying to set up a new kingdom of Saguenay in Canada but failed. Spiritual Alchemy is what the Templars, Gnostics, Mary Magdalene, John the Baptist and the Cathars were after, and it wasn't just to turn lead into gold -- although some alchemists DID do that and it was documented before the King of England. The theme of the book is that there needs to be a return to the Divine Feminine and the Yang Church needs to become the Yin-Yang (balanced)Church if it is to survive. Women and their feminine balance, nurturing, compassion and intuition are sorely needed in today's world as well as the church such that Modern Man (and woman) can better grow spiritually and leave mechanistic, rote religion to the 3rd world tribes. The book also examines Black Madonnas, Leonardo Da Vinci's paintings with their unique symbolism, the Dome of the Rock and what it hides, who the Beloved Disciple of Jesus really was, why Snake Oil IS medically of value, two new and authentic gospel fragments, the Mfkzt [sic] powder discovered in Egypt, and the recent discovery of writing on the Shroud of Turin -- which is authentic: it IS Jesus' shroud. New looks at Ascension, Karma, Reincarnation and Scripts are looked at thru the eyes of Rudolf Steiner, St Germain and the Great White Brotherhood (aka Order of Melchizedek).

The Divine Feminine in Ancient Europe

The Divine Feminine in Ancient Europe PDF Author: Sharon Paice MacLeod
Publisher: McFarland
ISBN: 1476613923
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 253

Book Description
This book is an exploration of the spiritual traditions of ancient Europe, focusing on the numinous presence of the divine feminine in Russia, Central Europe, France, Britain, Ireland and the northern regions. Drawing upon research in archaeology, history, sociology, anthropology and the study of religions to connect the reader with the myths and symbols of the European traditions, the book shows how the power of European goddesses and holy women evolved through the ages, adapting to climate change and social upheaval, but continually reflecting the importance of living in an harmonious relationship with the environment and the spirit world. From the cave painting of southern France to ancient Irish tombs, from shamanic rituals to Arthurian legends, the divine feminine plays an essential role in understanding where we have come from and where we are going. Comparative examples from other native cultures, and quotes from spiritual leaders around the world, set European religions in context with other indigenous cultures.

Working with Oneness

Working with Oneness PDF Author: Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee
Publisher: The Golden Sufi Center
ISBN: 1890350052
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 172

Book Description
Humanity has been given access to the secrets of oneness, but we need to learn how to work with them. Working with Oneness brings mysticism into the center of the marketplace, into the world of business and technology, and shows how we can work with it in everyday life. The dynamic energy of oneness has the potential to heal the planet and revolutionize life more than we can imagine, but it requires our individual participation and awareness to become fully alive. The energy of oneness is already present but waiting to be lived, and Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee provides a blueprint for working consciously with this energy. As we understand how our consciousness affects the whole fabric of life, the potential for real global change comes alive. Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee stresses the need to change from hierarchical, patriarchal power structures to organic patterns that allow for the free flow of energy and ideas. Through these patterns the dynamic energy of oneness can become part of everyday life. Working with Oneness includes a number of additional important topics, including: the changing energy structure of the planet and how to work with it; the power of individual consciousness; the danger of the desire for spiritual security; the return of joy to everyday life; the awakening of the heart of the world; a new understanding of magic; the use of the imagination; and mystical participation in life with the energy of oneness. Working with Oneness offers guidance on how to work with the energy of oneness, to learn how to participate in life free of the patterns of the past, so that the divine can come alive in every moment of every day. Working with Oneness is mystical activism at its most potent. “There is a growing and eager audience waiting for a vision of unity consciousness... Working with Oneness offers a salutary antidote to worn-out antagonisms. It challenges readers to join other kindred souls in a mystical activism that can bring new hope to humanity.” —Spirituality & Health “A book filled with wonder and the kind of insights that can leap out to your heart and gladden you for having read them. It's words are simple and straightforward—always a blessing—but its message it the most vital and important for the time in which we live. I recommend it.” —David Spangler, author, Blessings: the Art and the Practice

Goddesses and the Divine Feminine PDF Author: Rosemary Ruether
Publisher: Univ of California Press
ISBN: 9780520250055
Category : Body, Mind & Spirit
Languages : en
Pages : 396

Book Description
"The scholarship in this book is superior, revealing a depth of insight and a scope of knowledge possible only from a scholar who has lived with the concerns of feminist theology for decades. Ruether is a gifted storyteller, and lucidly translates complex ideas and debates. This work is of the highest importance, and Ruether asks the right questions at the right time. The text is groundbreaking."—Nancy Pineda-Madrid, Saint Mary's College of California "Ruether has provided a valuable introduction to an important feminist topic: what can we know about sacred female imagery in Western culture? She guides us through contemporary feminist scholarship, providing engaging narrative, and venturing her own interpretations. Ruether calls for feminists to move beyond divisions created by our different interpretations of prehistory and work together towards our common project of a more peaceful, just, and ecological world."—Carol Hepokoski, Meadville Lombard Theological School
