Book Description
Excerpt from The Princeton Seminary Bulletin, Vol. 53: October, 1959 The Church is the frontier of the Kingdom, the point at which God's rule invades the world. It is the community in which God's new order is already at work. Because it must protest against the false nature of life in the world and live in a society of people who do not obey God's rule, like Jesus, the Church is a pilgrim on the earth. It lives a broken life. It is the world's best friend and finest hope; yet the world often hates and despises it. Being a member of the Church is not easy, because it means being a member of a community of people who are constantly protesting against a sinful world, constantly maladjusted to a world that is not real, and constantly agonizing for the world of God's intention. Book Description
Excerpt from The Princeton Seminary Bulletin, Vol. 3: May 1909 The main purpose, in the publication of the seminary bulletin, is to ex tend to the Alumni a cordial greeting and to suggest to them items of interest in the active life of the Seminary. It is further hoped that future editions may contain more news of the Alumni; but for this the bulletin must depend upon the generous assistance of the graduates, who are urged to send to the Rev. Joseph H. Dulles, Librarian of the Seminary, all matters of interest to our Alumni. The many expressions of appreciation from those to whom the bulletin has come, encourage the belief that its publication will receive this needed assistance and support. Extra copies of the bulle tin can be secured by applying to the Registrar. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
