All 50 states are implementing mandates of Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) assignments for contaminants likely to impact water in the United States, making water quality management a timely topic. TMDL criteria are a new initiative under the Clean Water Act and of critical importance to agricultural producers and state and federal regulators.
