Sumudu Transform for Solving Second Order Ordinary Differential Equation under Neutrosophic Initial Conditions

Sumudu Transform for Solving Second Order Ordinary Differential Equation under Neutrosophic Initial Conditions PDF Author: Meghna Parikh
Publisher: Infinite Study
ISBN:
Category : Mathematics
Languages : en
Pages : 18

Book Description
The ordinary differential equation of second order is being used in many engineering disciplines and sciences to model many real-life problems. These problems are mostly uncertain, vague and incomplete and thus they require some more advanced tool for modelling. Neutrosophic logic becomes the solution of all these kind of uncertain problems as it describe the conditions of uncertainty which occurs during the process of modelling on the basis of grade of membership of truth values, indeterminacy values and falsity values, that means it consider all the uncertain parameters on the basis of these degrees. In this research paper, we have considered the ordinary differential equation of second order with neutrosophic numbers as initial conditions of spring mass system is solved using Sumudu transform method which has advantage of unit preserving property over the well established Laplace Transform method. The solution obtained at various computational points by this method is shown in the form of table. Furthermore, the results obtained at different (α, β, γ)-cut and time values are also depicted graphically and are verified analytically by de-fuzzifying the data.

Intelligent Decision Technologies

Intelligent Decision Technologies PDF Author: Junzo Watada
Publisher: Springer Science & Business Media
ISBN: 3642299202
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 524

Book Description
The Intelligent Decision Technologies (IDT) International Conference encourages an interchange of research on intelligent systems and intelligent technologies that enhance or improve decision making. The focus of IDT is interdisciplinary and includes research on all aspects of intelligent decision technologies, from fundamental development to real applications. IDT has the potential to expand their support of decision making in such areas as finance, accounting, marketing, healthcare, medical and diagnostic systems, military decisions, production and operation, networks, traffic management, crisis response, human-machine interfaces, financial and stock market monitoring and prediction, and robotics. Intelligent decision systems implement advances in intelligent agents, fuzzy logic, multi-agent systems, artificial neural networks, and genetic algorithms, among others. Emerging areas of active research include virtual decision environments, social networking, 3D human-machine interfaces, cognitive interfaces, collaborative systems, intelligent web mining, e-commerce, e-learning, e-business, bioinformatics, evolvable systems, virtual humans, and designer drugs. This volume contains papers from the Fourth KES International Symposium on Intelligent Decision Technologies (KES IDT’12), hosted by researchers in Nagoya University and other institutions in Japan. This book contains chapters based on papers selected from a large number of submissions for consideration for the conference from the international community. The volume represents the current leading thought in intelligent decision technologies.

Differential Equation Models

Differential Equation Models PDF Author: Martin Braun
Publisher: Springer Science & Business Media
ISBN: 1461254272
Category : Mathematics
Languages : en
Pages : 390

Book Description
The purpose of this four volume series is to make available for college teachers and students samples of important and realistic applications of mathematics which can be covered in undergraduate programs. The goal is to provide illustrations of how modem mathematics is actually employed to solve relevant contemporary problems. Although these independent chapters were prepared primarily for teachers in the general mathematical sciences, they should prove valuable to students, teachers, and research scientists in many of the fields of application as well. Prerequisites for each chapter and suggestions for the teacher are provided. Several of these chapters have been tested in a variety of classroom settings, and all have undergone extensive peer review and revision. Illustrations and exercises are included in most chapters. Some units can be covered in one class, whereas others provide sufficient material for a few weeks of class time. Volume 1 contains 23 chapters and deals with differential equations and, in the last four chapters, problems leading to partial differential equations. Applications are taken from medicine, biology, traffic systems and several other fields. The 14 chapters in Volume 2 are devoted mostly to problems arising in political science, but they also address questions appearing in sociology and ecology. Topics covered include voting systems, weighted voting, proportional representation, coalitional values, and committees. The 14 chapters in Volume 3 emphasize discrete mathematical methods such as those which arise in graph theory, combinatorics, and networks.

Handbook on Decision Making

Handbook on Decision Making PDF Author: Chee Peng Lim
Publisher: Springer Science & Business Media
ISBN: 3642136397
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 539

Book Description
Decision making arises when we wish to select the best possible course of action from a set of alternatives. With advancements of the digital technologies, it is easy, and almost instantaneous, to gather a large volume of information and/or data pertaining to a problem that we want to solve. For instance, the world-wi- web is perhaps the primary source of information and/or data that we often turn to when we face a decision making problem. However, the information and/or data that we obtain from the real world often are complex, and comprise various kinds of noise. Besides, real-world information and/or data often are incomplete and ambiguous, owing to uncertainties of the environments. All these make decision making a challenging task. To cope with the challenges of decision making, - searchers have designed and developed a variety of decision support systems to provide assistance in human decision making processes. The main aim of this book is to provide a small collection of techniques stemmed from artificial intelligence, as well as other complementary methodo- gies, that are useful for the design and development of intelligent decision support systems. Application examples of how these intelligent decision support systems can be utilized to help tackle a variety of real-world problems in different - mains, e. g. business, management, manufacturing, transportation and food ind- tries, and biomedicine, are also presented. A total of twenty chapters, which can be broadly divided into two parts, i. e.

Rewriting Logic and Its Applications

Rewriting Logic and Its Applications PDF Author: Peter Csaba Ölveczky
Publisher: Springer Science & Business Media
ISBN: 3642163092
Category : Computers
Languages : en
Pages : 272

Book Description
This volume contains the proceedings of the Eighth International Workshop on Rewriting Logic and its Applications (WRLA 2010) that was held in Paphos, Cyprus, March 20–21, 2010, as a satellite workshop of the European Joint C- ferences on Theory and Practice of Software (ETAPS 2010). Rewriting logic is a natural semantic framework for representing conc- rency, parallelism, communicationandinteraction, aswellasbeing anexpressive (meta)logical framework for representing logics. It can then be used for spe- fying a wide range of systems and programming languages in various appli- tion ?elds. In recent years, several executable speci?cation languages based on rewriting logic (ASF+SDF, CafeOBJ, ELAN, Maude) have been designed and implemented. The aim of the WRLA workshop series is to bring together - searchers with a common interest in rewriting logic and its applications, and to give them the opportunity to present their recent works, discuss future research directions, and exchange ideas. Previous WRLA workshops were held in Asilomar (1996), Pont-a-Mousson ` (1998), Kanazawa (2000), Pisa (2002), Barcelona (2004), Vienna (2006), and Budapest (2008), and their proceedings have been published inElectronic Notes in Theoretical Computer Science. In addition, selected papers from WRLA 1996 have been published in a special issue of Theoretical Computer Science, and selected papers from WRLA 2004 appeared in a special issue of Higher-Order and Symbolic Computation.
