Book Description
The earliest record of McSwain families in the U.S. can be found in the 1790 census that lists 20 McSwain households numbering 90 persons, all in NC. Of these, 15 households with 58 persons were in Robeson and Cumberland counties within a five mile radius of the present day town of St. Pauls, NC. By 1850, most if not all, of the McSwain families had moved on elsewhere. Donald McSwain and his wife, Peggy, left Scotland with their children, Malcolm, James, and Kitty, sometime between 1775 and 1790, and settled in Robeson County, NC. Eventually, Malcolm with his family would move to the southern portion of the Mississippi Territory between 1813 and 1820. This book traces the descendants of Donald McSwain down through several generations. Also included are the Adams, Barlow, Breland, Brown, Carter, Clark, Cooley, Cooper, Davis, Ellis, Fullilove, Garraway, Gillis, Graham, Gray, Green, Griffin, Hamilton, Harris, Hinton, Holland, Johnson, Jones, Lewis, Martin, McDonald, McKenzie, Mounger, Myers, Odom, Parker, Prine, Robinson, Ryan, Sanderson, Smith, Travis, Turner, Urban, Wallace, Watson, Williams, and Young families. Many other families are included through marriages.

Book Description
Jimmy McSwain is a New York City private detective, operating out of Hell’s Kitchen, the rough and tumble Manhattan neighborhood he grew up in. At fourteen, he watched as his NYPD father was gunned down. Now twenty-eight, Jimmy has never given up his pursuit of whoever killed Joseph McSwain. But a PI must make a living, too, so he’s taken on the case of missing heir Harris Rothschild, whose overbearing father doesn’t approve of his “alternate” lifestyle. Tracking down Harris is easier than expected, finding him at a club called the Dress-Up. But the carnage that follows after he’s found creates new problems. With a shocking fresh murder on his hands, and a threat coming from some unforeseen person, Jimmy’s caseload is suddenly full, and as dangerous as the streets he knows all too well. Good thing he has his family to fall back on, and a potential new love interest.

Pages : 270
Book Description
Love is good for the soul… unless it’s one that you’re trying to exorcise. Ray Ramos has a problem–the King William District mansion he and his business partner purchased for a fast renovation needs more work than expected. Ray could use a quick infusion of cash. Enter Emma Shea, assistant to Gabrielle DeVere, the star of American Medium. Gabrielle is looking for San Antonio houses to use for her televised séances, and Ray’s fixer upper seems to fit. When Gabrielle does a sample séance, Ray and Emma become the target of a touchy ghost with no respect for boundaries. After Ray learns his family has a special affinity for ghosts, the two decide to investigate the haunted house. It doesn’t hurt that Emma is immediately attracted to the laconic Ray or that Ray is intrigued by the buttoned-down beauty who seems determined to hide her considerable assets behind sober business suits. But can the two of them fight off a vengeful succubus bound to the house while getting a lot closer than either of them planned? Meg Benjamin writes contemporary romance for Berkley InterMix and Samhain Publishing. Happy Medium is the final book in her Ramos Family trilogy after Medium Rare.
