That, as Dr. Plummer comments, is not a very logi cal position to take up, for the cardinal miracle in Christianity is not the resurrection of Lazarus, but the resurrection of Christ Himself. But still this miracle does exercise a mighty influence upon the hearts and intellects of men. For, once a man be lieves it, he cannot fail to be confronted with the question What manner of man is this, that even death and the grave obey Him?
