THE HOUSE OF HEALING
The Ministry of Healing
Author: Dr. Ernest S. Martin
Publisher: Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.
ISBN:
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 164
Book Description
The Ministry of Healing deals with the issues of faith and how God heals. How often does one hear or say, "If I just had enough faith, I could be healed"? The author experienced praying for many people who were miraculously healed. He also prayed for people who were not healed. However, every person that Jesus prayed for was healed. Jesus came not only to pay for our sins and purchase our salvation on the cross, but he came to show us how to walk in the Spirit and to do the works of God. People who have sought God, prayed for healing, been prayed for by others, and are not healed tend to become cynical and say that God does not heal today. Jesus did not heal everyone. He said that he only did the works of his Father. When the author began to search how to minister like Jesus, he learned that one had to be led by the Spirit and get the mind of God so that the works of God the Father would be glorified by the Son through the power of the Holy Spirit. Before praying for healing, one needs to have the mind of Christ and God's faith. The seven types of illnesses described in the Word and listed below were revealed to the author by the Holy Spirit. Curse and Rebellion Illness unto Death For the Glory of God Chastisement Caused by Sin Demonic Afflictions Abusing our Bodies Molding of the Spirit The purpose of this book is to teach how to pray the prayer of faith and to know the mind of Christ. There is an edict in veterinary medicine to "do no harm." Christians need to have this same edict in dealing with human souls for eternity.

The Living Age
Yseult
Author: Ruth Nestvold
Publisher: Red Dragon Books
ISBN:
Category : Fiction
Languages : en
Pages : 214
Book Description
For the price of a truce, Yseult is sent to a world where magic is dying - to marry the father of the man she loves.Marcus's son Drystan would have saved her from a loveless marriage, but with her relatives being held hostage, Yseult cannot endanger them and must go through with the wedding. The tragic love story of Yseult and Drystan plays out against the backdrop of a violent world threatening to descend into the Dark Ages - only Arthur's battles to push back the Saxon hordes can save what is left of civilization. With her background, Yseult could act as a bridge between the old age and the new - but will the price be too high?Yseult is a retelling of the tragic tale of Tristan and Isolde, a story older than Romeo and Juliet or Lancelot and Guinevere; an Arthurian romance with roots going back far into the realm of legend and the undying tales of King Arthur. From Yseult:"Once upon a time beyond history, in an age almost beyond imagination, there was a girl as fair as the moon, sitting on a horse and watching a fire. The bonfire is a part of history, but the princess is a part of legend."Tristan and Isot, Tristram and Isolde, Essyllt and Drust, Yseult and Drystan: the spellings have changed, but they have always been lovers - the greatest lovers the world has ever known. Most accounts of their story have begun with the man."This one begins with the woman."Praise for Ruth Nestvold:"... an excellent up-and-comer."- Cory Doctorow at Boing Boing

The House of Laura Covington

Publisher: iUniverse
ISBN: 0595124356
Category : Fiction
Languages : en
Pages : 278
Book Description
I've held this story close to my heart like some romantic secret. I would have let it remain in its esoteric state but for the living memory of my parents. Perhaps, the telling of it is like the discharging of a kind of unusual filial debt. The relationships depicted here extend through time and across generations and are not rooted in once locale, one story. I believe that many who read this story will see elements of their own lives hidden in its pages. Maybe my story, which found reality in an old house in a small southern city, will open doors of your imagination and allow the characters that fill your memories help you forget a wounded past. Our memories and those of the people we love sometimes require a witness to keep them from evaporating into a misty void where they are lost forever. My story is real only in my heart, but my characters are you characters. They walk among us.
