The Goldador is a relatively new breed of dog that has been developed within the last two decades. The Goldador is a mix of both the Labrador Retriever and the Golden Retriever. The aim of the breed's development was to create a sensitive, tolerant, intelligent and highly trainable working dog - the efforts proved to be highly successful! The Goldador is now considered one of the top choices for organizations that train guide and assistance dogs. The Goldador is a highly alert breed which also means that it makes an excellent watchdog, but the Goldador is also a highly inquisitive and friendly breed which means that it is not a very effective guard dog. The temperament of dogs is normally affected by the following factors: individual personality, heredity, training and socialization. It is therefore important to make sure that you meet the puppy's mother before purchasing a Goldador. It is also important to make sure to thoroughly socialize your Goldador with strangers, children and other animals during its puppyhood. Generally speaking, the Goldador has a desire to please its owner which makes it an incredibly easy breed to train.
