Excerpt from The Glastonbury Lake Village, Vol. 1: A Full Description of the Excavations and the Relics Discovered, 1892-1907 It is difficult to estimate our great indebtedness to Dr. Robert Munro, LL.D., to Prof. W. Boyd Dawkins, and to the late Sir Augustus Wollaston Franks, for their valuable advice and assistance regarding the excavations, and their help in the task of identifying some of the relics. To the late Dr. J. H. Gladstone, our best thanks are due for his careful analyses and reports upon the various objects of metal; to the late Mr. J. G. Baker, and to Mr. Clement Reid, for their valuable reports upon the Botanical specimens; and to Dr. C. W. Andrews, for his examination and reports upon the Bird-bones.
