[Abstract] The purpose of this phenomenological research study was to excavate the essences within the experience of a Deep Healing Process. A Deep Healing Process is an inward journey which unfolds through an innately born gauge that requires active awareness, and energy leading to resolution which occurs through full-measure feelings, catharsis, and/or internal connectedness and results in clarity, integration, behavioral changes, and/or an emotional clearing. A Deep Healing Process requires time, dedication, and unfolds through layers. The phenomenological model was utilized in an effort to understand how other people heal versus drawing from my own experience of a Deep Healing Process. This study resulted in a greater understanding of the common themes within the Process. A literature review of books, journals, and dissertations revealed that no similar study is currently in existence, however current readings did provide a solid foundation for this study. The data was collected through eight face to face interviews which reflected personal experienced with a Deep Healing Process. Seven co-researchers were women, and one was a man. Three of the co-researchers were psychologists,while all the co-researchers had experienced extensive therapy consisting of individual, group, twelve-step programs, or Intensives. The theoretic models used by the co-researchers were one or more of the following: Psychodynamic, Humanistic, or Anne Wilson Schaef's model termed the Living Process.
