Book Description
A series of twenty-one original triangular lithographs (with narrative captions) which may be displayed in a helical scroll of linked tetrahedra. They were executed during the years 1975 and 1976 under the guiding light of Tatyana Grosman (to whom Fuller had been introduced by Edwin Schlossberg) at her ULAE print workshop in West Islip, Long Island. In something of a publishing innovation this trade book was brought out concurrently with a limited edition of the signed original lithographs. Michael Denneny was the editorial impresario at St. Martin's and Ronald Feldman Fine Arts handled the exhibition of the lithographs. Fuller composed the Tetrascroll between the publication of Synergetics in 1975 and Synergetics 2 in 1979. He had been frustrated by the rigid structure of the synergetics books which, despite certain advantages, he felt robbed the work of spontaneity and narrative force. To compensate for this Fuller worked feverishly on the Tetrascroll as a free-form obbligato to the synergetics books. He explained to me at the time, "The empirical, the scientific way to present the argument of synergetics is the way I am doing it in Goldilocks. Buckminster Fuller

Buckminster Fuller PDF Author: Richard Buckminster Fuller
Publisher: Yale University Press
ISBN:
Category : Architecture
Languages : en
Pages : 280

Book Description
From his geodesic dome to books popularizing the terms "spaceship earth” and "synergetics,” the life mission of R. Buckminster Fuller (1895-1983) was to create living environments that minimized consumption of the earth’s resources while maximizing interconnections with global systems of information and transportation. This book explores Fuller's extraordinary body of work focusing on his wide-ranging and sometimes controversial role within the worlds of art, architecture, and utopian thought. The book chronicles Fuller’s profound, often prophetic contributions, including his environmentally sensitive building designs. The essays illuminate the underappreciated thematic interactions of many sculptors, painters, musicians, and architects with this self-described "comprehensive anticipatory design scientist,” including contemporary artists wrestling with Fuller’s legacy today. Reproductions of original drawings and models--including those for Fuller’s 4D house, Wichita House, the Montreal Expo dome, and the sole extant Dymaxion car--plus a reprinted 1966 New Yorker profile on Fuller by Calvin Tomkins, complete the fascinating tribute.

Pages : 1832

Book Description
Acorns delineates the future of humanity as a reunification of intellect with the Deep Self. Having chosen to focus upon ego (established securely by the time of Christ), much more beta brain wave development will destroy our species and others, which process has already begun. We create our own realities through beliefs, intents and desires and we were in and out of probabilities constantly. Feelings follow beliefs, not the other way around.
