Book Description
This memorandum contains information from records of repair activities performed by field radio repairmen on the RT-66, 67, or 68 transmitter-receiver. The information was reproduced from 166 Repair Activity Forms completed by 82 radio repairmen in a variety of CONUS and USAREUR maintenance units. It is part of the field study conducted in Task REPAIR. The forms were designed to obtain specific information about characteristics of equipment referrals and repairman procedures in troubleshooting and repair. They were distributed to working repairmen with instructions to fill them out while repairing equipment items. The purpose of this staff memorandum is to provide 'case histories' of maintenance jobs to serve where comprehensive information about individual maintenance jobs is required. The memorandum is expected to be of value in curriculum construction, and to instructors as a source of sample problems for use in conference, demonstration, and practical exercise instruction. These data may also be useful to agencies directly concerned with equipment design or maintenance management. (Author).
