This reappraisal of educational planning, implementing a decision of the Education Committee for the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), has two main objectives: to review the evolution of concepts, approaches, and practices of educational planning in member countries during the past 20 years; and to identify new features of planning that can help educational authorities design future policies that take account of changing educational demand and limited financial resources.
