Survey research was conducted from 1983-1985 by Deborah Edge Abele, and was funded by the City of Colorado Springs Community Development Department and the State Historical Society. Survey results were compiled on the inventory forms that make up this collection and were included in the publication Downtown Intensive Survey Final Report (Colorado Springs: Community Development Department, Planning Division, 1985). A detailed description of the survey methodology can also be found in that publication.
