This book explores the ways in which non-state actors (NSAs) in South Asia are involved in securitizing non-traditional security challenges in the region at the sub-state level. This book examines Indian foreign policy and security relations in its eastern regional neighbourhood. Indian Foreign and Security Policy in South Asia conducts an in-depth analysis into India’s foreign policy towards the three main countries in India’s Eastern neighbourhood – Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bangladesh. The threats the world currently faces extend beyond traditional problems such as major power competition, interstate conflict, and nuclear proliferation.
