Book Description
Outstanding mechanical properties reported are: tensile strengths from 1800 to 2400 degrees F of 33,670 and 27,500 pounds per square inch; 100-hour strength at 1800 degrees F of 19,300 plus or minus 300 pounds per square inch. The properties of materials evaluated varied with degree of "effective" cold working, recrystallization, temperature, and manufacturing source.

Book Description
The tensile strength properties of sintered wrought molybdenum were investigated at temperatures from 1800 degrees to 2400 degrees Fahrenheit, as well as the effects of swaging, recrystallization, and "test-section" area on these tensile strength properties. Additional studies were made on stress-rupture properties, types of fracture, directional tensile properties of rolled plate, and metallography of swaged and recrystallized molybdenum.
