Shaking Table Tests on the Response of Reinforced Concrete Frames with Non-seismic Detailing
Shake Table Tests and Analytical Studies on the Gravity Load Collapse of Reinforced Concrete Frames
Author: Kenneth John Elwood
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category : Earthquake simulators
Languages : en
Pages : 896
Book Description
The objective of this investigation was to determine the mechanisms that lead to the collapse of reinforced concrete frame buildings subjected to earthquake forces. An empirical model was developed to estimate the drift at shear failure for existing reinforced concrete building columns. A shear-friction model was also developed. Shaking table tests were designed to observe the process of dynamic shear and axial load failures.

RC Frames Under Earthquake Loading
Author: Comité euro-international du béton
Publisher: Thomas Telford
ISBN: 9780727720856
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 328
Book Description
This report examines the behaviour of individual frame members subjected to the cyclic actions arising in seismically loaded frames i.e. slender flexure-dominated beams, short columns and beam-column joints. The report also considers global inelastic frame behaviour and its modelling, and the peculiarities of the behaviour of masonry-filled frames.
