Excerpt from Twenty-Seventh Annual Report of the Babies' Hospital of the City of New York: For the Year Ending September 30th, 1915 The general mortality of all cases treated during the year was 926. 9 per cent. This 15 partly explained by the admission of 38 more patients for operations on tonsils and adenoids, by 47 cases. Of Congenital syphilis read mitted for injections of salvarsan and 11 more children sent to Oceanic than in the previous year. Subtracting these cases from the total admis sions the mortality corrected for comparison with previous years would be which is the lowest in the Hospital records since 1904.
