Excerpt from Service and Regulatory Announcements, Vol. 357: January 1937 Docket no. 586. - In re Maspeth Live Poultry Co., I no., Maspeth, N. Y. The Acting Secretary Of Agriculture on October 5, 1936, ordered that a hearing be held to allow the applicant Opportunity to Show cause why its application for a license, made under title V Of' the Packers and Stockyards Act, Should not be denied. A hearing was held on October 13 and from the evidence adduced it was found that the applicant is financially unable to fulfill its Obligations as a licensee; therefore, on January 23, 1937 the applicant was notified that a license to buy, sell, and handle live poultry would be denied on the showing made, but that it would be given 30 days from the receipt Of the order in which to furnish a bond or other form of satisfactory indemnity sufficient to secure the prompt pay ment Of its Obligations which it would incur as a licensee. Docket no. 596. - I n re Prosperity Live Poultry Corporation, Bronx, N. Y.
