We have conducted a search for trilepton events from supersymmetry (SUSY) in p[bar p] collisions at [radical]s = 1.8 TeV. In the Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), trilepton events are expected from chargino-neutralino ([tilde [chi]][sub 1][sup [plus-minus]][tilde [chi]][sub 2][sup [minus]0]) pair production, with subsequent decay into leptons. The authors present the results of the first hadron collider search for heavy, long-lived neutralinos that decay via {tilde {chi}}1° → [gamma]{tilde G} in gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking models. Using an integrated luminosity of 570 ± 34 pb−1 of p{bar p} collisions at √s = 1.96 TeV, they select [gamma]+jet+missing transverse energy candidate events based on the arrival time of a high-energy photon at the electromagnetic calorimeter as measured with a timing system that was recently installed on the CDF II detector. They find 2 events, consistent with the background estimate of 1.3 ± 0.7 events. While the search strategy does not rely on model-specific dynamics, they set cross section limits and place the world-best 95% C.L. lower limit on the {tilde {chi}}1° mass of 101 GeV/c2 at [tau]{sub {tilde {chi}}1°} = 5 ns.

A search for new long-lived particles decaying to leptons is presented using proton-proton collisions produced by the LHC at √s=8 TeV. Data used for the analysis were collected by the CMS detector and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb-1. Events are selected with an electron and muon with opposite charges that both have transverse impact parameter values between 0.02 and 2 cm. The search has been designed to be sensitive to a wide range of models with nonprompt e-[mu] final states. Limits are set on the "displaced supersymmetry" model, with pair production of top squarks decaying into an e-[mu] final state via R-parity-violating interactions. The results are the most restrictive to date on this model, with the most stringent limit being obtained for a top squark lifetime corresponding to c[tau]=2 cm, excluding masses below 790 GeV at 95% confidence level.
