This 350-page publication is a word-for-word transcription of the Stewart County, Tennessee county records involving guardianship for the period 1842-1850. Transcribed records include court orders, guardian bonds, guardian returns, guardian settlements and court cases involving alleged mismanagement by guardians. Primary sources of the transcribed records are County Court Minute Books and Volume A (1842-1850) of the Guardian Bonds and Settlements Books. Some transcribed records also come from the Loose Records of the Circuit Court. This is the second publication for the county focusing on records relating to guardianship, the first being Stewart County, Tennessee Guardian Records, 1806 - 1842.
