Tompkins, in consequence of his election as Vice-President; and that we consider such vacancy inevitable. Resolved, As the sense of this meeting, that his Excellency the Governor, by a faithful adherence to his duty, and by his patriotic devotion to the interests of his country, has justly acquired the esteem and confidence of his fellow-citizens.
