Vamos dar início a uma viagem que possibilite reconhecer a evolução das ideias que os seres humanos construíram sobre o Universo ao longo dos séculos, compreendendo as concepções e os meios disponíveis em cada momento histórico, até chegarmos ao modelo atual. Também estarão disponíveis reflexões que permitam compreender que os conhecimentos científicos não foram construídos de um dia para o outro, mas ao longo de discussões, observações, confusões, estudos e conclusões, além de reconhecer que, com os avanços tecnológicos, a cada momento novas descobertas possibilitam novos conhecimentos. Buscaremos meditar qual o sentido de nossa vida, para que viemos e para onde vamos. Então, acredito que todos nós, em algum momento, já tenha feito a si mesmo estas perguntas: “Será que eu sei ser cristão? Como eu vivo meu ser cristão? O que é ser filho de Deus?”. Se você já se fez essas perguntas, não pense que está errado ou que isso é um problema. Pois, vejo, por trás desses questionamentos, alguém preocupado com a vida espiritual e com o relacionamento com Deus. O objetivo deste livro, que é uma proposta de intervenção didática, não é encontrar o certo e o errado, mas reconhecer as condições que cada povo considerou para que naquele momento de sua história, considerasse certos pensamentos como certo e abandonassem o que julgavam como errado.
