Excerpt from Pseudo-Hypertrophic Muscular Paralysis: A Clinical Lecture The following Lecture was delivered at the National Hospital for the Paralysed and Epileptic, to students of University College, and appeared in the "Lancet" for July, 1879. Since its publication, two other cases of the disease have come under my notice. I have described these in the Lecture (Cases 13 and 23), and have added some further details to the descriptions of the other cases. Mr. William Adams has very kindly placed at my disposal his unpublished notes of eighteen cases which have been under his care, and I am indebted to Dr. Clifford Allbutt for a note of two cases which he has seen. These twenty cases are described in an Appendix. I have also found records in medical literature of some cases which had escaped my earlier search, and others have been published since the delivery of this Lecture.
