Exercises in Audiometry
Author: Frederick N. Martin
Publisher: Allyn & Bacon
ISBN: 9780205268252
Category : Audiometry
Languages : en
Pages : 0
Book Description
Training in clinical audiometry is both equipment and personnel intensive. Exercises in Audiometry is designed for use by students enrolled in courses in clinical audiometry that require hands-on experience, as well as practicing clinicians performing procedures with which they are unfamiliar. This manual, wire bound to lie flat, consists of 25 exercises each describing a particular procedure ranging from audiometer calibration to a variety of diagnostic tests. The manual is designed to be used with a minimum of supervision, allowing the supervisor or instructor to assign particular exercises which allow the students to proceed at their own pace. In addition to a step-by-step approach, the manual contains learning aids that demonstrate the logic of each procedure.

On-Site Audiometer Calibration Check
Author: Harrell C Sutherland (Jr)
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category : Audiometry
Languages : en
Pages : 14
Book Description
Feasibility of on-site audiometer calibration checking with portable apparatus was explored. Three Medical Equipment Repair Centers checked audiometers in their geographic areas for six months. Conclusions were that (1) the on-site audiometer calibration checks were feasible, (2) the apparatus employed was suitable, and (3) the pass-fail criterion selected was satisfactory. General calibration status of audiometers observed seemed to improve during the course of the study. (Author).

Audiometer Attenuator Calibration Method
Author: F. A. Brogan
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category : Audiometry
Languages : en
Pages : 12
Book Description
The implementation of standards for audiometers--together with a general upgrading of those for audiometer calibration--requires calibration checks of the steps of the audiometer hearing-level attenuator. The aim of the study was to determine the feasibility of using transformer and common base preamplifier impedance-matching, in conjunction with laboratory voltmeters or sound-level meters, to detect the very-low-level electrical signals from the audiometer. Additional applications of this device are suggested. (Author).
