« Le but de la présente étude est d'examiner, selon la perception d'enseignants, l'utilisation d'activités de plein air en tant que stratégie d'entraînement aux habiletés sociales auprès d’adolescents en trouble du comportement. Nous répondrons, entre autres, à la question générale suivante : « Quelle est, selon la perception d’enseignants, l’utilisation faite d’activités de plein air en tant que stratégie d’entraînement aux habiletés sociales auprès d’adolescents en trouble du comportement? ». Pour parvenir à répondre à cette question, nous avons interrogé 13 enseignants en adaptation scolaire et sociale au premier cycle du secondaire ayant tout fait vivre ou collaboré à au moins une activité de plein air, dans les trois dernières années scolaires, avec des élèves en trouble du comportement à des fins pédagogiques d’éducation ou de rééducation. Des entrevues semi-dirigées individuelles ont été réalisées avec chacun des participants. Le processus d’analyse (analyse de contenu) et de traitement des données a été fait en conformité avec l'approche qualitative en recherche. Les résultats de cette étude nous ont permis de constater que l’utilisation d’activités de plein air avec les élèves en trouble du comportement regorge d’avantages tant pour les enseignants que pour les élèves. Parmi les principaux avantages, notons le développement d’habiletés sociales et la possibilité de les mettre en pratique dans un contexte naturel tout en ayant droit à des rétroactions de la part d’un adulte compétent.
