Emerging Nuclear Energy Ststems: Icenes '93 - Proceedings Of The Seventh International Conference

Emerging Nuclear Energy Ststems: Icenes '93 - Proceedings Of The Seventh International Conference PDF Author: H Yasuda
Publisher: World Scientific
ISBN: 9814551635
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 582

Book Description
To overcome the problems of system theory and network theory over real field, this book uses matrices over the field F(z) of rational functions in multi-parameters describing coefficient matrices of systems and networks and makes systems and network description over F(z) and researches their structural properties: reducible condition of a class of matrices over F(z) and their characteristic polynomial; type-1 matrix and two basic properties; variable replacement conditions for independent parameters; structural controllability and observability of linear systems over F(z); separability, reducibility, controllability, observability and structural conditions of networks over F(z), and so on. This book involves three subjects: systems, networks and matrices over F(z), which is an achievement of interdisciplinary research.

Protocols for High Speed Networks IV

Protocols for High Speed Networks IV PDF Author: G. Neufeld
Publisher: Springer
ISBN: 0387348859
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 362

Book Description
Welcome to the fourth IFIP workshop on protocols for high speed networks in Vancouver. This workshop follows three very successful workshops held in Ziirich (1989), Palo Alto (1990) and Stockholm (1993) respectively. We received a large number of papers in response to our call for contributions. This year, forty papers were received of which sixteen were presented as full papers and four were presented as poster papers. Although we received many excellent papers the program committee decided to keep the number of full presentations low in order to accommodate more discussion in keeping with the format of a workshop. Many people have contributed to the success of this workshop including the members of the program committee who, with the additional reviewers, helped make the selection of the papers. We are thankful to all the authors of the papers that were submitted. We also thank several organizations which have contributed financially to this workshop, specially NSERC, ASI, CICSR, UBC, MPR Teltech and Newbridge Networks.

Internet Economics

Internet Economics PDF Author: Lee W. McKnight
Publisher: MIT Press
ISBN: 9780262631914
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 546

Book Description
The Internet has rapidly become an important element of the economic system. The lack of accepted metrics for economic analysis of Internet transactions is therefore increasingly problematic. This book, one of the first to bring together research on Internet engineering and economics, attempts to establish such metrics. The chapters, which developed out of a 1995 workshop held at MIT, include architectural models and analyses of Internet usage, as well as alternative pricing policies. The book is organized into six sections: 1) Introduction to Internet Economics, 2) The Economics of the Internet, 3) Interconnection and Multicast Economics, 4) Usage Sensitive Pricing, 5) Internet Commerce, and 6) Internet Economics and Policy. Contributors Loretta Anania, Joseph P. Bailey, Nevil Brownlee, David Carver, David Clark, David W. Crawford, Ketil Danielsen, Deborah Estrin, Branko Gerovac, David Gingold, Jiong Gong, Alok Gupta, Shai Herzog, Clark Johnson, Martyne M. Hallgren, Frank P. Kelly, Charlie Lai, Alan K. The Unpredictable Certainty

The Unpredictable Certainty PDF Author: National Research Council
Publisher: National Academies Press
ISBN: 0309060362
Category : Computers
Languages : en
Pages : 631

Book Description
This book contains a key component of the NII 2000 project of the Computer Science and Telecommunications Board, a set of white papers that contributed to and complements the project's final report, The Unpredictable Certainty: Information Infrastructure Through 2000, which was published in the spring of 1996. That report was disseminated widely and was well received by its sponsors and a variety of audiences in government, industry, and academia. Constraints on staff time and availability delayed the publication of these white papers, which offer details on a number of issues and positions relating to the deployment of information infrastructure.
