L'insuffisance cardiaque gauche est l'aboutissement de la plupart des pathologies cardiaques. Le vieillissement des populations augmente chaque année l'incidence de cette maladie. L'auteur nous présente ici la forme la plus répandue de l'insuffisance cardiaque : l'insuffisance cardiaque ventriculaire gauche. Dans une 3ème et dernière partie, cette thèse aborde les nouvelles perspectives de traitements. Ceux-ci ne vont pas pour l'instant prendre la place des thérapies de premières intentions (inhibiteurs de l’enzyme de conversion, bétabloquants) ni révolutionner la prise en charge des patients mais, dans un avenir proche permettront d'améliorer leur qualité de vie à tous les stades de la maladie.

The result is, that in fresh human red blood cells the Ca+ concentra tion is ;;;; O.4,uM (this is an upper estimate; the true value may be considerably lower).
