Maurice Zundel (1897-1975) est un prêtre suisse dont Paul VI confi a à son propos : « C’est un génie, génie de poète, génie de mystique, écrivain et théologien, et tout cela fondu en un. » Au plus intérieur de lui-même, il rencontra Dieu sous la figure de Dame Pauvreté. Cette expérience, de tonalité franciscaine, le conduisit à approfondir la figure du Dieu trinitaire, toute ouverture, tout don, toute réconciliation. Mais l’homme le passionne autant que Dieu. Parce que Dieu, le premier, croit en l’homme.
