This report is a summary evaluation of the effect of location and environmental regulations on the Solvent Refined Coal Process. The purpose of the work was to facilitate commercial realization of the SRC Process by anticipating marketing and environmental problems which would be faced by an operator of an SRC plant. The report describes a model which is designed to optimize location of an SRC plant in relation to the source of coal and the market for the fuel product while considering the effect of 19 variables. The report also includes a compilation of environmental regulations with which an SRC plant would have to comply including regulations that are anticpated but not yet in force.
