Psychologists are using their backgrounds, theories, and methodologies to study significant population issues and problems. The papers in this book represent pioneering efforts from 1972 to 1975. While not covering all the kinds of population research being done by psychologists, they do present an excellent picture of the range, scope, and diversity of the significant work being done. It is hoped that the articles in this book will stimulate more psychologists to become involved in population research and inspire those now in the field to still greater efforts.
