Joseph Patrell was born in about 1723 on the Isle of Guernsey in th Channel Islands. He emigrated in about 1747 and settled in Massachusetts. He married Esther in about 1752. They had ten children. He probably died in Norwich, Vermont in about 1790. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York.
