Abstract: Nutrition affects world health, agriculture, ecology, demography, sociology, economics and politics. Thus, food and nutrition problems must be addressed by a multidisciplinary and global approach. This viewpoint is expressed in proceedings of the XI Intenational Congress on Nutrition. Vol. 3 considers nutritional biochemistry and pathological nutrition as it relates to human growth and development.
