The initial Joint Action Plan has demonstrated the feasibility of deeper and more ambitious cooperation and the effort has delivered a number of important, specific results such as: • Common Electronic Submission Gateway: This allows industry to submit electronic applications to both Health Canada and the U. S. Food and Drug Administration for pharmaceutical and biological products. [...] The long-term goal is to have bilateral regulatory cooperation within the regular planning and operational activities of regulatory agencies. To help guide this transition, and for the foreseeable future, the RCC will continue to provide central oversight and remain focused on government-to-government coordination, and intends to function as it has to date. In the fall of 2013, we published noti [...] We believe the scope of work between the regulatory agencies and authorities listed below will benefit Canadian and U. S. stakeholders, while improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the regulatory systems in both countries. [...] Animal health: In order to expedite and simplify trade, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and U. S.
