Topics of special interest include his naval inventions and innovations, official orders, 1875-1926, the Mexican crisis, 1913-14 and the occupation of Vera Cruz in April, 1914. There are several short articles and speeches, a diary, 1905, scrapbooks, 1898-1916, genealogical material, miscellaneous blueprints and sketches, and souvenirs, including a sailor's hatband from the U.S.S.
