De nombreux oxydes de métaux de post-transition présentent des propriétés électrochimiques et de conduction originales. Par exemple, les oxydes In2O3 dopé à l'étain ou SnO2 dopé à l'antimoine sont des conducteurs transparents, l'oxyde hydraté Sb2O5.nH2O est un conducteur protonique de même l'oxyde SnO2 est un matériau d'anodes pour batteries lithium tandis que les oxydes de bismuth Bi2-xLnxO3 (Ln = ion Lanthanides) ou Bi2-xAxO3-x/2 (A = Sr, Ba) sont des conducteurs anioniques. En vue de générer de nouveaux matériaux offrant ce type de propriétés, la synthèse de nouveaux oxydes à base de métaux de post-transition a été entreprise .Elle a permis d'isoler onze nouvelles phases et d'établir leur structure cristalline. Les caractérisations structurales ont été effectuées par Diffraction des Rayons X sur poudre ou sur monocristal couplées aux techniques de Microscopie Électronique à Balayage (Imagerie) ou en Transmission (Diffraction Électronique, Haute Résolution). Cinq phases (A1,5+x SbM5O11,5 (A/x= Sr/0,18 ; Ba/0) (M=Al, Ga), Sr1,5+xSb2-xAl 5+xO14 (x= 0,21) et Na3Sb2Al5O14) constituent une nouvelle famille d'oxydes d'aluminium et d'antimoine en couches de formulation (AxSb2-yAl5+yO14)n(A1+UAl5O9)m. Trois nouvelles phases, BaSb2Al4O12, Sr33Sb24,25Al48O141,4 et K0,84Sb1,38Al0,78O4, sont des oxydes d'aluminium et d'antimoine, isotypes ou isostructuraux d'oxydes de métaux de post-transition existants. Des tests électrochimiques d'insertion d'ions Li+ sur l'oxyde BaSb2Al4O12, possédant une structure de type hollandite, sont également présentés. Trois nouvelles phases, AxSn2+2Si2O7 avec (A/x=Na/2; K/2; Ba/1), sont isotypes d'oxydes d'aluminium et d'antimoine. Des mesures électrochimiques de supercapacités réalisées sur ces dernières sont présentées.
