El número 112 de Notas de Población, de junio de 2021, ofrece a sus lectores ocho trabajos en los que se abordan, como es costumbre, diversos temas asociados al complejo vínculo entre la dinámica demográfica y las múltiples aristas del desarrollo, en ocho países de América Latina. En primer lugar, tres trabajos se refieren a las repercusiones de la pandemia de enfermedad por coronavirus (COVID-19) en la región, lo cual responde al espacio que hemos abierto para abordar científicamente la relación entre la emergencia sanitaria y la dinámica demográfica. Del mismo modo, se mantiene el interés por analizar la dinámica migratoria; particularmente, en su vertiente intrarregional. Esta línea temática aparece en cuatro trabajos, dos de los cuales combinan migración y COVID-19. En este número se aborda también el desafío siempre presente de la cuantificación de los hechos sociodemográficos; más específicamente, la cantidad de población indígena en los censos, así como de femicidios en los registros creados para contabilizarlos. El último artículo incluido en este número trata sobre la distribución de la población y los problemas urbanos en el Paraguay.
