Book Description
"The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) represents a continuing cooperative effort among Statistics Canada, Mexico's Instituto Nacional de EstadĂstica y GeografĂa (INEGI), and the Economic Classification Policy Committee (ECPC) of the United States, acting on behalf of the Office of Management and Budget, to create and maintain a common industry classification system. With its inception in 1997, NAICS replaced the existing classification of each country, the Standard Industrial Classification (1980) of Canada, the Mexican Classification of Activities and Products (1994), and the Standard Industrial Classification (1987) of the United States. Since 1997, the countries have collaborated in producing 5-year revisions to NAICS in order to keep the classification system current with changes in economic activities. The NAICS changes for 2017 represent a minor revision and all occur within sector boundaries"--Preface, p. 5.

Book Description
This book is designed as a guide for the preparation and examination of entries in the TVTyme.net website. Being the compilation of the North American Industry Classification System, the guide can be used for other purposes dealing with products and services prevalent in the North American Continent. Prospectors, traders, merchants, manufacturers, and consultants, from all over the world who like to penetrate certain market niches in North America may find this book a necessary resource. The reverse is true for the same group in North America who would like to export merchandise and skills to other parts of the world. The book is structured such that one is never more than a page away - forward or backward - from the target object of examination. The page header indicates the main sector in the economy while the page footer indicates the subsector as well as the industry group. Automatically, the page header and the page footer change as sectors, subsectors, and industry groups change. The page footer plays a significant role in the search for information. Another helpful feature of the book is how the Table of Contents is structured. Instead of providing a separate page or appendix to summarize the North American Industry Classification System, the Table of Contents provides the information from sector down to the industry group. Being of a small trim size, the book can be carried around handily - on the field, in the office, in park benches, in wherever one decides to read it, discretely empowering the reader with pages of information without being conspicuous.
