Book Description
The Christmas story in the Bible is a beautiful account of the birth of the Messiah, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He was born in obscurity in a little town named "Bethlehem," a Hebrew term that means "house of bread." And how ironic, for this man was the Bread of Life, and all who come to Him will never hunger and will never thirst (John 6:35). That is why the story of Christmas, the birth of the Messiah, is so important. Since Jesus is the reason for the season, let us make sure we understand completely who He is. For who Christ is to us determines who we are both in this world and in eternity.

Book Description
Jerusalem, around 735 BC. Two armies threaten the Holy City to overthrow the dynasty of David. Ahaz, king of Judah, is consumed by fear and worry. Then the prophet Isaiah delivers his message: the ‘almâ is pregnant, she bears a son, and gives him the name Emmanuel. What is the meaning of the word ‘almâ? Without doubt more has been written on the interpretation of this term than on any other verse in the Old Testament. Is it a question of a virgin, as claimed by the fathers of the church, or of a young woman, as asserted by the majority of modern scholars?

Book Description
Playing Princess of the Castle was Rebecca's favorite pretend game, until the day she met the friendly old cobbler. He told her of a new King who would be coming soon. "The King is coming!" he said with mystery. She gleefully helped the cobbler turn her father's old, brokendown stable into a make-believe royal palace. But everything changes when a man and his pregnant wife come to the door of her father's inn. Suddenly, her make-believe world becomes the home of the Savior. "The King is here!" the cobbler whispers, his eyes twinkling. This imaginative retelling of the Christmas story will delight your family. The wonder of that first Christmas night will live forever in your child's heart, as this story reminds us all that the Savior of the world came to earth as a humble babe in a manger.

I Have Grown in His Love

Book Description
One method of enjoying reading the Bible is to live the events as one reads them by becoming an observer or a participant in those events. In this novel, the author became James, the lad who was carrying five loaves of bread and two fish which Jesus blessed to feed over five thousand people. From that perspective, he followed Jamess growth in love of Jesus Christ. Through listening to Jesus teachings, observing His miraculous deeds, following Him on the way to the cross, and hearing the news of His resurrection from the dead, James developed his understanding of who Jesus is. First, he thought of Him as a prophet, the Messiah, and finally he believed that He is the Son of God. At a mature age, James wrote his memoirs, from the first time he met Jesus, to the time he was preparing to leave on his first missionary trip to preach the Way. Although the miracle of feeding the crowd happened almost one year before Jesus was crucified and resurrected, the novel is developed to present to the reader other important events that happened prior to that miracle. Prophecies of the Old Testament were incorporated in the body of the story as they were being fulfilled. The Bible events in the novel are real. James is an imaginary figure whom the author followed in his growth in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
