There are letters and enclosed shipping orders relative to transporting British emigrants to the Canterbury settlement, land orders, titles, transfers and re-adjustments, along with printed copies of 'Assessed Tax' forms from 1853-1854. A copy of 'The Times', no. 20344, dated Tuesday 27 November 1849 is also included towards the end.
