Book Description
What are your current levels and trends in key measures or indicators of Molecular recognition product and process performance that are important to and directly serve your customers? how do these results compare with the performance of your competitors and other organizations with similar offerings? How will we insure seamless interoperability of Molecular recognition moving forward? Why should we adopt a Molecular recognition framework? Do Molecular recognition rules make a reasonable demand on a users capabilities? Will new equipment/products be required to facilitate Molecular recognition delivery for example is new software needed? Defining, designing, creating, and implementing a process to solve a challenge or meet an objective is the most valuable role... In EVERY group, company, organization and department. Unless you are talking a one-time, single-use project, there should be a process. Whether that process is managed and implemented by humans, AI, or a combination of the two, it needs to be designed by someone with a complex enough perspective to ask the right questions. Someone capable of asking the right questions and step back and say, 'What are we really trying to accomplish here? And is there a different way to look at it?' This Self-Assessment empowers people to do just that - whether their title is entrepreneur, manager, consultant, (Vice-)President, CxO etc... - they are the people who rule the future. They are the person who asks the right questions to make Molecular recognition investments work better. This Molecular recognition All-Inclusive Self-Assessment enables You to be that person. All the tools you need to an in-depth Molecular recognition Self-Assessment. Featuring 704 new and updated case-based questions, organized into seven core areas of process design, this Self-Assessment will help you identify areas in which Molecular recognition improvements can be made. In using the questions you will be better able to: - diagnose Molecular recognition projects, initiatives, organizations, businesses and processes using accepted diagnostic standards and practices - implement evidence-based best practice strategies aligned with overall goals - integrate recent advances in Molecular recognition and process design strategies into practice according to best practice guidelines Using a Self-Assessment tool known as the Molecular recognition Scorecard, you will develop a clear picture of which Molecular recognition areas need attention. Your purchase includes access details to the Molecular recognition self-assessment dashboard download which gives you your dynamically prioritized projects-ready tool and shows your organization exactly what to do next. Your exclusive instant access details can be found in your book.

Book Description
Radiobiology Self-Assessment Guide--a companion to the Radiation Oncology Self-Assessment Guide and Physics in Radiation Oncology Self-Assessment Guide--is a comprehensive review for practitioners of radiation oncology looking to enhance their knowledge of radiobiology. It covers in depth the principles of radiobiology as applied to radiation oncology along with their clinical applications. To foster retention of key concepts and data, the resource utilizes a user-friendly "flash card" question and answer format with over 700 questions. The questions are supported by detailed answers and rationales along with reference citations for source information. The guide is comprised of 29 chapters and cover topics commonly found on the radiation and cancer biology portion of the radiation oncology board examination. Aspects of basic radiobiology covered include fundamentals such as cell cycle, cell survival curves and interactions of radiation with matter, and acute and long-term sequelae of radiation. Modern concepts such as immunotherapy, radiogenomics, and normal and cancer stem cells are also included. Focused and authoritative, this must-have review provides the expertise of faculty from the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute and Lerner Research Institute. Key Features: Provides a comprehensive study guide for the Radiation and Cancer Biology portion to the Radiation Oncology Board Exam Includes more than 700 questions with detailed answers and rationales on flip pages for easy, flash card-like review Includes essential review of cancer biology concepts such as immunotherapy, stem cells, gene therapy, chemotherapy and targeted agents Content provided by a vast array of contributors, including attending radiation oncology physicians, physicists, and radiation oncology residents

Principles of Molecular Recognition

Principles of Molecular Recognition PDF Author: A.D. Buckingham
Publisher: Springer Science & Business Media
ISBN: 9401121680
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 213

Book Description
The importance of molecular recognition in chemistry and biology is reflected in a recent upsurge in relevant research, promoted in particular by high-profile initiatives in this area in Europe, the USA and Japan. Although molecular recognition is necessarily microscopic in origin, its consequences are de facto macroscopic. Accordingly, a text that starts with intermolecular interactions between simple molecules and builds to a discussion of molecular recognition involving larger scale systems is timely. This book was planned with such a development in mind. The book begins with an elementary but rigorous account of the various types of forces between molecules. Chapter 2 is concerned with the hydrogen bond between pairs of simple molecules in the gas phase, with particular reference to the preferred relative orientation of the pair and the ease with which this can be distorted. This microscopic view continues in chapter 3 wherein the nature of interactions between solute molecules and solvents or between two or more solutes is examined from the experimental standpoint, with various types of spectroscopy providing the probe of the nature of the interactions. Molecular recognition is central to the catalysis of chemical reactions, especially when bonds are to be broken and formed under the severe con straint that a specific configuration is to result, as in the production of enan tiotopically pure compounds. This important topic is considered in chapter 4.

Recent Trends in Molecular Recognition

Recent Trends in Molecular Recognition PDF Author: F. Diederich
Publisher: Springer Science & Business Media
ISBN: 366203574X
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 274

Book Description
Reasoning in terms of molecular recognition may be traced back to Emil Fischer, who practiced the art of chemistry at Humboldt University in Prussian Berlin a century ago. Today, it is clearly recognized that molecular recognition impacts and determines all life processes. It has become a key research field in both chemistry and biology and the emerging interface of what now is being called "chemical biology". The technological advances derived from this knowledge are particularly important, diverse, and directly evident in the pharmaceutical industry. Under the auspices of the Ernst Schering Research Foundation, a workshop held in Berlin in February 1998 addressed novel basic developments of potential relevance to drug research efforts. A balance of timely research topics in molecular recognition is presented in the lectures delivered by a multidisciplinary international panel of renowned scholars and documented in this volume.
